Also, because this is a challenge, there is no limit to number of authors signing up... no interviews or author group will be done for this. Just have fun, select your DYAC and make us laugh on the 28th!

Okay guys... here it is... the one-shot I promised for voting for Kati... It actually turned into a drabble... I have a group on FB for it... and then will be doing a PDF once it's complete for you all to download and read...

Summary: Edward’s life is pretty sweet. He has a successful career, an awesome apartment, great friends and his choice of bed partners. He’s got life all planned out. But what happens when he finds out he has a five-year-old daughter and meets her adoptive mother? Sometimes Life can be unexpected.

Prologue
Edward barely manages to stifle a yawn as he opens his office door, relieved that clinic is finally over for the day. With two of the other doctors out, one on maternity leave and the other having had back surgery only last week, Edward’s patient load has nearly doubled. He sinks down into his comfy chair with a sigh, loosening his tie and tilting his head side to side to relieve some of the day’s tension.
It’s just after six and he’s been at the hospital since seven that morning and wants nothing more than to go home, but he still has a couple of dictations to do and knows he should really start writing the new protocol he’s been thinking about if he wants it done before the next NIH grant deadline.
It’s days like today that he curses his decision to pursue an academic position instead of going into private practice or working at a non-university hospital.
He’s logging back onto his computer when he spots the small pile of mail that one of the schedulers or assistants must have brought in, among the chaos that is his desk.
He quickly scans through it. The latest catalog from Boston Scientific, a couple of letters from pharmaceutical companies, a brochure for an upcoming conference that he’ll most likely go to but doesn’t actually want to, and—a letter with no return address. Strange.
Edward stares at the envelope, besides his name and work address on the front—written by a hand he doesn’t recognize—there are no other marks. He’s intrigued and quickly opens it.
There’s only a single piece of paper. Edward unfolds it quickly and begins to read.
A minute later, he’s left staring, unseeing, at the cabinet on the far wall, the sheet of paper falling to the floor from his slack fingers… his life, the plans that he made, all as good as tossed out the window.

Next order of business that needs to be wrapped up...
Those of you that were in my FB group or that stalked my wall probably know that I had asked you all to vote for a friend of mine to help her win a dream wedding... I also promised an exclusive one-shot to all those that vote/voted for her... that is still happening... as I said I am not backing out of anything I already committed to... so here's the link... and while I do have a list of names so far... if you are new to the voting... or have already voted drop a comment on this post with your contact info... even if it's just your FB Name, Twitter Name, email or whatever... if you want your copy of the one-shot... As most of you have probably heard by now (or are here trying to find out)... I've pulled my fics from FanFiction.net and closed my Facebook account... I'm taking a break from the Fandom for a while... in the meantime my stories can be found here on my blog... and I'd appreciate it if they stayed just here on my blog. I am working on PDF's that will include pics and banners etc... for all my completed stuff... and will post those links when they are done... I would appreciate that 'the official' PDF's that I make... are the only copies of my stuff floating around. I have not yet decided what I want to do with the stuff I have completed but had not posted yet. I will also continue to help texasbella with the Drabble Wars... but I'm not posting anything new that I have written as of right now... and also will not be taking any new requests for banners, blogs or graphics... so please don’t ask. I will be finishing the banners, contest banners and charity compilations that I have already committed myself to... feel free to drop in here and see what I'm up to... or leave a comment... but this is going to be the only place you can find my stories for now...

Who's ready to write?!!!
Rachel and I are upping the challenge once again... we’re busting out the visuals! For this Picture Prompt Challenge you will not have unlimited time to plan and write, this is a quick put on your thinking cap and let the creative juices flow! As always...there will not be a definitive winner...other than the readers who get more amazing stories!
Rules:
1. NO LIMIT on number of authors participating...just sign up by adding your FF author profile link at the bottom of this doc in the sign up area. Just like with the monthly "war" docs, as you decide your title and summary (and then story link), please come back to this doc to add them under your profile link.
2. You have approximately TWO WEEKS to write your drabble.
3. Drabbles should post in their entirety on ONE WEEKEND...BEGINNING FRIDAY, MAY 26TH. So keep this in mind when you are writing, these should be short-ish drabbles.
4. You are welcome to get a banner for your drabble and add it to the album with the appropriate Challenge Banner.
5. Now for the twist...your prompt. Normally we give you a single word as your theme or prompt, this time we are giving you pictures... 12 to be exact... you may choose to use up to 3 of the provided pictures to base your story on. Please let us know which pictures you are using in your summary.
